We live in Dark Times, indeed, and whether or not they get darker is NOT up to Oba For many years I heard thoughtful opinion leaders like Rush Limbaugh or Dr Laura, giving out what I felt were honest and workable solutions to all types of problems. Rush was and is very perceptive about freedom, politics and how this country Dr. Laura was and is a needed voice for the return to honesty and traditional morality, first the ability to detect evil, then the willingness to choose good. She, too, has been critical of Obama for the absence of his support for morality and religion (except hate-mongering Rev Jeremiah Wright). THESE two have begun to change that view that the voters will come to their senses in time. The media has not, most of our populace, also has not changed this view. What BOTH Rush and Dr. Laura are NOW doing, along with a few others, is to change their view of "the voter is always right."
THIS is where I announce that democracy is no longer practical. That is now the new reality for four reasons:
It wasn't too long ago that "democracy" could count on the logic and common sense of the people, but now demagogues like Obama offer impossible things like free lunch, free money, universal health care and will always win against an opponent who feels bound and restricted to using logic and truth. The elite are "elite" because they know that they are smarter and know "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” —Thomas Jefferson (Quoted here) It used to be The churches have long given up on that, even some claiming that the Bible teaches "situational ethics."
Our nation was founded as a "Republic, and was the best form of government we could create in the 1700's. It served us well until we abandoned our constitutional principles and chang The truly best form of government would be a "benign monarch" where a man or woman who is of exceptional honesty and skill at administering a government whose purpose is to serve all the population with the rule that the moral decision will be "the decision best for the greatest number of people." Short of this, "return" to a "Republic" would be a good forward step to improve a failing democracy. Governments that depend on citizen votes all suffer from the same problem that ordinary people will usually elect "ordinary leaders" who are, in fact a long step below the average citizen in morals and administrative skill. So any elective government gets some mishmash of the most clever (and often the most corrupt) of the average voter.
The old US Republic became a new US democracy (click here for my reasons why democracies never last) and has now become a Fascist State by popular vote; the Obama Team promised the "free-lunch voters" more candy than they can eat at the expense of the few taxpayers who are still left.
I, Karl Loren, know of a technology that detects evil purposes in people and, with their willingness, rids them of dishonesty and evil purposes. Man can clean his dirty hands and heart. The massive debt, of course, means the virtual threat of bankruptcy for the entire country, so the fickle voters will look for another savior, but there is no one who can avoid the default or monetization (when the government simply runs the printing press) creating more paper money which must then become worthless as the inflation finishes the destruction of normal life in America and the world. The debt created by Obama is far greater, as a percent of our total national production, than it was during the Great Depression.
The full debt load on our taxpayers has not come close to being publicly admitted. When you add the publicly admitted debt of about $13 trillion to the unfunded liabilities of more than $100 trillion, the total exceeds $130,000,000,000,000, an impossible sum for this country to ever pay. Taxes cannot be increased that much. The only alternatives is default (which FDR did but would put us out of existence as a nation), or "Monetization" which is starting now / soon. The present state of morals in society no longer supports a "democracy" and there is hardly anything else people know of that they would choose. Both Germany and Italy CHOOSE dictators that promised and delivered jobs at the expense of loss of liberty and war, but the "people supported these dictators" at first. Immoral people choose free money whenever they can -- then suffer later. It is too late to prevent our suffering, but some can recover more easily than others. The Federal Reserve Bank, of course, has become the willing hand-maiden of the big-spenders in the Obama Team, but, fortunately, the Federal Reserve Bank, itself, is like a "Republic" and the various regional Fed Bank Presidents still have some independence left, just like states used to have. The President of the Dallas, Texas Federal Reserve recently said this:
This financial disaster cannot be avoided, but there is something we can, as individuals, do to weather the storm and re-build a new civilization.
The image on the left is from a book that has it slightly right, but mostly wrong, because of the lack of understanding how ONLY spiritual attainment can give rise increased morality -- only then can honest material wealth be realized, when BOTH are balanced. For thousands of years religion has failed to do this. Man is over-balanced on material accumulation. Only a few even know how spiritual gain can be attained. Any person who takes something without giving anything in We think we have a planetary financial problem? That is not the real problem. The real problem is that we have a planetary crisis in morality. We are a planet full of people who are confused about where we are. We have come to believe we are in a society that can sustain cheats and thieves, without our complaint, who assert the rightness of transfer payments from the productive to the unproductive. Those who cheat are always helped by those who are cheated upon ... if not by similar sins of their own, then We are a planet full of people who have no moral compass, who have fallen prey to the psychiatric goal of "situational ethics" where each person has the right to decide for each situation what is right and what is wrong. Because the East has imported the Western Culture, there is not much difference between the East and the West in matters of morals. No group ever has voted on self-restraint in preference to the offer of free Bread and Circus, but ANY ONE PERSON can do that for himself. There IS a solution to this morals crisis, but for those slow to give up their sins of taking free lunch as their right, it will be a very painful adjustment to the reality that is here just as assuredly as the Coming Dark Times Turmoil. Thus any group of voters in virtually any country NOW will elect the worst possible political leaders who understand how to manipulate the voters with emotional messages and images, with offers that appeal to their low moral, educational and robotic levels. What areas are safe from this stupidity? Those areas least influenced by Western Culture. China, not included in this group, achieved this state of dictatorship by simple force, without voters. Most of the West has chosen, by popular agreement, the very dictators who now control the central banks and therefore the entire economy and social structure.
The current popular film, Angels and Demons, may or may not be a work of fiction, but it shows how easy it was for a small group of the world's most holy of men to so easily be willing to VOTE for the devil to take charge of the Church of God. That was "choice of evil, by vote" and has actually happened in the United States, and many other countries.

A "benign monarch" is hard to find since you don't often find a monarch is truly "benign" except from long time on the job.
It will be hard to find a wise and honest "benign" monarch, but that's what we should be looking for. I predict that we will go through this fascist government for a long time, well past the time when China (the equivalent of a benign monarch (a possible benign dictatorship of the Communist Party). Who, for instance could eliminate the terrorist threat better than a dictator without the ACLU to slow him down, and with some miracle that would make him h

Don't Monetize the Debt 
To achieve that new civilization we need drastic improvement in morality, integrity and honesty. This has obviously been missing in our leaders, both political and corporate, but what now MUST be confronted is that Joe Six Pack, and all the common citizenry have been JUST as immoral even if on a smaller scale.

The full depth of our depression will ONLY be reached and we will ONLY recover when the man in the street AND our leaders, both groups, become more ethical, more moral, more honest and start producing honest products and services that benefit mankind.
