One minute ago, did God speak to the people of earth?
I was still mostly asleep, at 6:14 AM, PST, Saturday, November 1, 2008, in my home in Canyon Country, California.
Karl Update On November 16, 2008:
On Saturday, November 15th, the days before and even on Sunday the 16th, my wife and I spent many hours on our back porch, looking at flames in literally dozens of spots, sprinkling the horizon some 5 miles away.
You've seen those California FLAMES on TV, yet I saw them in real life. The world is beset with problems. I call them the coming "Dark Times" and have a total solution for them.
First, however, I need a larger audience who agrees with me that these times of turmoil and declining morality are truly real -- not ignored.
ALL of this turmoil, including wild-fires, is caused by MAN, not God.
I have the solution to present -- but need many more subscribers to THIS newsletter before I can work on presenting that solution. Click on the above link to send this page to a friend.
The explosion was the loudest and the closest I had ever heard in my 77 years, living and traveling in more than 33 different countries. Surely it was a bomb? No, possibly thunder? I missed that flash of lighting, but was blinded through the window blinds by the next pair of twin messages: flash and clap.
The rain storm that had arrived in this dessert land was
Light to moderate showers with a few isolated thunderstorms will continue across the San Fernando Valley...Santa Clarita valley [zip 91387] and adjacent mountains this morning. At 6:15 AM pdt...Doppler radar indicated a band of moderate to locally heavy showers moving northeast at 35 mph towards across the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys as well as the adjacent mountains. Expect rainfall amounts between one tenth and one quarter inch...with locally higher totals near thunderstorms through this morning. Frequent lightning...small hail and locally gusty winds to 45 mph could occur with these thunderstorms. There could be some local flooding across some flood prone intersections as well. Source
Fire Storms? I sat in my back porch, just a few weeks earlier and watched a firestorm leaping up the mountains just a few miles away?
Was this another message? (source of photo)
Where, in history, has this happened?
One thinks, immediately, of the Tower of Babel where God spoke and acted to destroy the men of earth who thought they could "climb to heaven" with a earth-made tower!
Years ago I wrote about Man acting in this materialistic way to reach God:
The Tower of Babel is depicted, most famously, as an actual tower built by people of the country of Babylon, some thousands of years ago. These were people who, apparently, believed they could get to heaven using materialistic approaches. They, presumably, had lost their spiritual path toward God, and thought that if they all spoke the same language, they could understand one another easily, cooperate on large projects and become very successful in their efforts.
God struck down that tower, took away from man the ability to communicate if they were going to use the magic of communication for materialistic purposes. Read my article, published many years ago, here. This article is where I predicted the coming of "spiritual communication" leading to "spiritual telepathy."
On this same page I wrote, then:
I personally believe that there is a path toward spiritual enlightenment, and that this path ultimately cannot depend on mere material steps.
There must be an early recognition, when you are following this path, that concepts that are not much material, such as "good" and "bad," or "right" and "wrong," must ultimately have some way of being understood with just as much precision as two "men" can understand the utterance of "tree" as meaning the physical object -- tree.
It has been the job of philosophers to define such words -- as did Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, for instance: Here is a bit of Aristotle to chew on: (Click on the link to read the story)
Peggy Noonan, popular columnist just wrote on November 1, 2008:
The size and dimension of the likely Democratic victory seem clear. A Democratic House with a bigger, more fervent Democratic majority; a Democratic Senate with the same, and possibly with a filibuster-breaking 60 seats; a new and popular Democratic president, elected by a few points or more; a Democratic base whose anger and hunger have built for eight years; Democratic activists and operatives hungry for business and action. What will this mix produce? A runaway train with no one to put on the brakes, to claim a mandate for slowing, no one to cry "Crossing ahead"? Democrats in Congress will move for innovation when much of the country hopes only for stability. Who will tell Congress of that rest of the nation? Mr. Obama will be overwhelmed trying to placate the innovators.
[Karl Note: Or, you could say, that Obama, the puppet, will have no control over the puppeteers -- whether they are the millions of dumbed down and drugged voters, or the super-wealthy foreign bankers.]
...
But let's be frank. Something new is happening in America. It is the imminent arrival of a new liberal moment. History happens, it makes its turns, you hold on for dear life. Life moves.
A fitting end for a harem-scarem, rock-'em-sock-'em shakeup of a year -- one of tumbling inevitabilities, torn coalitions, striking new personalities. Source: WSJ, November 1, 2008
The financial turmoil is not done affecting Americans:
Nationwide, 7.3 million American homeowners are expected to default on their mortgages between 2008 and 2010, about triple the usual rate, according to Moody's Economy.com, a research firm. Some 4.3 million of those are expected to lose their homes. (WSJ, November 1, 2008)
But the government will bail out the banks who bail out the debtors, and the taxpayer will pay all costs soon, with increases in taxes or deliberately-caused inflation which will rob us all to pay the bill. You can be sure the debtors will not pay what they swore originally to pay, because they are the victims and this society rewards victims -- and soon will have many more clamoring for that status.
Karl Loren: In the modern world has not Man turned more corrupt and facing away from God than at any time in the past?
Consider this small part of an expose of corruption among our leaders, written years ago. This was written before the present era of corruption having trickled down to Joe Six-Pack. Joe just voted, by the millions, to let the Government give them money rather than to work for it. Democracies have failed in history because the majority always votes for the man who promises the most something for nothing.
This page is written for the little guy. The CEOs who are exposed for their corruption in this article are NOT very likely to read it, or to act on the basis of this data. The only one who can now save our society from the deepening moral corruption into which it is sinking is you, the average Joe or Mary, in the street, who still has the common sense to see what is happening and to recognize that you are seeing moral corruption at the very top of the social, political and business ladder.
THOSE people are not likely to change. Even when caught? They may be forced to admit they are criminals, but no one ever becomes moral because of force. The history of this planet is replete with failed examples of "forced morality!" For centuries the Church has tried to force people to be moral, with threats of hell. That hasn't worked either. A new dawn is coming, based on a common sense moral code.
Force (criminal law enforcement) still is needed to stop the big guys from setting corruption as the standard, but YOU can learn the lesson from their jail sentences -- honesty IS the best policy.
A key lesson from the recent scandals is that the checks on the system simply have not worked. The honor code among CEOs didn't work. Board oversight didn't work. Self-regulation was a complete failure. But one thing has worked: law enforcement. Clearly, there are periods in history when government must step in with reasoned enforcement actions that define the boundary lines and ensure that there is integrity, transparency and fair play in the markets. (Source: WSJ Article)
Only you, a single person, freely and on your own, can adopt a common sense moral code, and only you can gently offer your ideas on morality to your friends and family. Keep in mind that I say "gently." Just as the Church has tried and failed to force people to be moral, neither can YOU force any other person to become "moral." But, you can offer these ideas gently to others, and some will accept, just as you have, the offer for this common sense moral code.
There is another reason why this is for YOU! The type of corruption you'll read about here doesn't happen next door. But what DOES happen next door is often very similar.
This piece written by Karl Loren, years ago, is meant for today's people who never seem to learn the lessons of infectious greed and seek unearned riches now, just as our leaders have done for years. Click here for the whole story.
